(TAP)- Tamweeli.tn, the first digital platform for connecting SMEs and financial institutions was officially launched on Wednesday by the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), in partnership with the Middle East Investment Initiative (MEII).

The United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is the development finance institution of the United States federal government, primarily responsible for providing and facilitating the financing of private development projects in lower- and middle-income countries.

Tamweeli.tn, which has been operational since July 2020, offers 100% free digital matchmaking services. The goal is to facilitate funding procedures for enterprises.

The platform is open to all Tunisian micro and medium-sized enterprises (MMEs) wishing to finance their exploitation or investment cycle.

It helps them submit their application, saving time and maximising their reach, in just a few clicks, while preserving the confidentiality of their data transmitted through the platform.

The financial advisers of Tamweeli Platform offer the MMEs seeking funding, technical support services for the presentation of their financial and accounting reports. They also provide advice to improve the quality of the submitted files and thus increase their chances to to find adequate funding.

Tamweeli.tn also helps partner financial institutions to answer entrepreneurs directly, by expressing their interest in their file, via the platform. The entrepreneur can then decline or agree to share the details of their financing application in complete security and confidentiality.
