The following York County restaurants were found to have violated Pennsylvania’s health and safety regulations during inspections between Aug. 30-Sept. 5.
Inspections are overseen by the Department of Agriculture. The department notes that in many cases violations are corrected by the restaurant before inspectors leave.

–Observed nine cases of frozen food stored directly on the floor inside the walk-in freezer, rather than six inches off of the floor as required.
–Non-food contact surfaces including but not limited to – cooling unit door gaskets, equipment doors, door frames, floor drains, equipment handles not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil.
–Food facility inspection indicates evidence of insect activity in floor drain areas, but facility does not have a pest control program.
–Observed small rodent in the used cooking oil vat located at the rear exterior of the building.
