Here’s another campaign by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. This time, it is promoting post-Covid-19 gastro-tourism in the Central Region.

A collaboration with the Restaurant Business Association and WP Energy, the “Thailand Food Paradise — A Chef’s Trip” is offering up to 20% discount on delicious meals at 30 famous restaurants located across 17 central provinces including Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Nonthaburi, Phetchaburi, Ayutthaya, Saraburi, Ratchaburi and Kanchanaburi.

Under the campaign, each of the participating restaurants will present at least one special set menu comprised of its signature dishes designed for at least two people, with prices ranging from 270 to 1,212 baht per set. The dishes will range from noodles, Isan cuisine and Thai cuisine to Japanese cuisine, seafood and baked goods.

However, it’s not only the food that will attract travellers to the venues. The beautiful local scenery each eatery is blessed with will make the trip even more memorable. However, each restaurant is offering only 20 set dishes. E-coupons can be purchased via Wongnai Application (or visit bit.ly/2GiosLY) until Sept 30 and will be valid until Aug 30, 2021.

As suggested in the title of the campaign, two famous chefs travelled to several of the landmarks and eateries along the way to their destinations and their reviews have been presented in two video clips that can be viewed on Facebook: THfoodparadiseAcheftrip.

The first clip sees chef Andy Yang who earned one Michelin star this year and TV presenter Lita Inchalita on a journey to Ratchaburi province. The second clip shows chef Ploy, winner of Top Chef Season 2, on a trip to Kanchanaburi with popular YouTuber Worachat “Chiang” Tumrongwarangkul.
