Scarface, the legendary Houston rapper from the group The Geto Boys, is now in need of a kidney, according to a recent post on social media.

Scarface’s industry colleague and fellow Houston rapper Slim Thug also admitted to catching the deadly virus earlier in the year.

SLIM THUG CONTRACTS COVID: Houston rapper Slim Thug says he tested positive for coronavirus

There are harsh side effects that come with contracting the virus, even after recovery. Since his original diagnosis, Scarface has faced kidney failure.

In a June interview with Fox DC, he mentioned that his kidneys were never fully functioning after surviving COVID-19.

“COVID attacked my lungs first, and then it attacked my kidneys and knocked them out. I got full lung recovery, but my kidneys never came back,” he said.

On Wednesday, the rapper shared on Twitter his need for a new kidney. In the tweet he wrote, “I need a kidney, any volunteers? B+ blood type.”

In the tweet’s comments, many of Scarface’s fans were willing to give him a kidney and told the rapper how inspiring his music was, while others offered unsolicited health advice.

While there hasn’t been an update yet on Scarface getting a new kidney, I’m sure a few Houstonians would be willing to give up their organs for a Houston legend.
